It was in college that I became captivated by the art of photography. In the following years I have refined my eye by focusing on composition and capturing moments in my home town of Honolulu, HI as well as in my travels through the continental US, Europe, and in the rural villages of Turkey during an 8 month residency there. In September of this year, the New York Times published my work in Yellowstone National Park as an editor's pick. I primarily work in black and white, with Leica film rangefinder cameras. I also work in medium format with the Mamiya 7 system and color digital with the Nikon SLR system. Please contact me for freelance work including portraiture, weddings, and events.
I am Chicago based and able to travel.
